Abstract
When analysing electrodynamometer type wattmeters, the common assumption th at potential foil current is linearly proportional to load voltage is only true for one of two alternative methods of connecting its current and poten tial coils. The present analysis avoids this. It also develops a single exp ression for the correction factor which includes connection and phase angle errors.
