Vermi-castings - A bio-organic fertilizer: A study on its natural cyclic production

The present work embodies the information about the surface-castings produc tion by two species of earthworms from three different fields in natural cl imatic conditions round the year. The maximum amount of surface-castings wa s produced in the month of June by IM. posthuma and in the month of July by E. waltoni. Surface-castings was collected en masse from the soil having p H 5.9 and the minimum from the soil having pH 8.4.
