Abstract
The complex dielectric susceptibility of an ensemble of non-interacting pol ar asymmetric top molecules diluted in an inert is calculated in the contex t of the generalized J-diffusion model, which takes into account the finite duration of molecular collisions. The model is applied to calculations of far-infrared absorption spectra of dilute solutions of H2O and D2O molecule s in non-polar solvents. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved .
