Abstract
The relaxation activity (mechanical as well as dielectrical), of a thermotr opic side chain liquid crystalline polymer was analyzed. The effects of the orientation of the mesogenic group under electrical fields were also studi ed. Conformational studies with reference to the motions into the mesophase reveal that there are many possible conformations to give account of the m acroscopic experimental results.
