Abstract
In high quality BaTiO3 crystals without trapping defects conduction electro ns form Ti3+ polarons, their stabilization energy being caused by a Jahn-Te ller effect. Depending on locally fluctuating potentials, tunable by uniaxi al stress, small, intermediate, and banding electrons are identified by EPR . There are indications that also bipolarons are present.
