Abstract
Thermal rearrangement of a propargylic sulfinate prepared from (R)-pul egone led, with an acceptable diastereoselectivity, to a spiro sulfone which could be transformed into dihydropentalenic acid, methyl ester. (C) 1997 Published by Elsevier Science Ltd.
