Abstract
Equal-cross section lateral extrusion (ECSLE) is a special industrial proce ss employed to make ultra-fine grain materials, and the structural change a nd properties of materials are strongly dependent on the stress-strain hist ory of the process. The stress distribution of ECSLE has been simulated by finite element method in this paper, moreover, the factors which influence the stress distribution have been analyzed and discussed.
