Abstract
Mutual coupling between two rectangular multisegment dielectric resonator a ntennas is investigated in both the E- and H-planes. Spacing distances up t o 4.5 lambda are considered, with comparisons made between numerical TLM si mulations and experimentation. Good agreement is achieved, with representat ive plots presented. The investigation is restricted to examining the domin ant TE111-mode, for which the radiation pattern resembles that of a magneti c dipole. (C) 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
