Abstract
927 MeV/N U-projectile from LBL BEVALAC irradiated a stack consisting of CR 39(DOP) plastics and Al target at an angle of 30 degrees to study the larg e fragmentation phenomena and charge pick-up reactions. The last one from t he exposed plates has been etched for an hour in 6.25N NaOH solution at 70 degrees C. Etch pit diameters of about 8,352 nuclei detected in the process ed plastic have been measured. Attention has been paid to the observed char ge pick-up cross-section that seems to be reduced due to the fission of new ly formed nuclei after the charge pick-up events.
