The producer of medical devices for dialysis fluids and substituates has to conform with standards mostly set up by the medical products statute. Ther e are some limitations according to the German pharmaceutical act for produ cing these fluids for instance for patients of other doctors. There is liab ility in contract and tort for dangerous devices, especially the European d irective concerning defective products applies.
