Abstract
Triraphis devia Filgueiras & Zuloaga from central Brazil is described as a new species, illustrated. and compared with morphologically similar species in the genus. Anatomical and ecological data are presented together with a biogeographical discussion. A tentative key to all the species of Triraphi s is provided. This is the first record of a native Triraphis in Brazil and in South America.
