Abstract
Zero field mu SR measurements on a high-quality single crystal of CeAl2 pro vides, in contrast to earlier mu SR studies, evidence for a single-k incomm ensurate, sinusoidally modulated AFM-phase below 3.8 K in qualitative agree ment with neutron results. Below 1 K we find a drastic change in the mu SR signal which may indicate a further change in the magnetically ordered phas e, however, preserving its incommensurately modulated structure, (C) 1999 E lsevier Science B.V.
