Abstract
We present a magnetotransport study of single-crystalline CeRu2Ge2 under pr essures p close to the magnetic instability at p(c) = 67 kbar. For p < p(c) the crystal shows antiferromagnetic order, like a CeRu2(Ge0.1Si0.9)(2) all oy, and the magnetoresistance of both systems are similar: rho(B) drops on crossing a metamagnetic transition field B-c below T-N. The existence of si milar drops of rho(B) for p greater than or equal to p(c), but with increas ingly reduced magnitude, is discussed. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All r ights reserved.
