Abstract
Several perovskite-like intermetallics CePd3Gax(0 less than or equal to x l ess than or equal to 0.2) have been studied by means of magnetic and electr ical transport measurements. With increasing x, the system transforms from a coherent nonmagnetic Kondo lattice to a single-ion Kondo system and final ly to a magnetic dense-Kondo system. The observed behaviour occurs due to a change in the valence of cerium from intermediate-valent towards trivalent state. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
