The Anderson lattice model including nearest-neighbor magnetic exchange int
eractions is studied on a simple cubic lattice through a diagrammatic expan
sion around the atomic limit. We obtain the correlation functions between f
- and conduction electrons on the same site and between f-electrons on near
est-neighbor sites. Both functions decrease with temperature in such a way
that crossover temperatures T-K and T-corr respectively, can be defined whi
ch depend on the parameters of the model. The emerging description is compa
red to the predictions of the Doniach diagram and more recent approaches. (
