Abstract
We identify local kinetic energy contributions responsible for the rapid tr ansfer of spectral weights in one-particle spectra. The sum rules derived u sing the cell method combined with strong-coupling perturbation theory are in excellent agreement with the direct evaluation of spectral weights in th e charge-transfer model.
