T-c and lattice parameters of the superconducting PrBa2Cu3,O-x, were invest
igated as a function of pressure up to 10 GPa. It was found that T-c's of t
he compounds were enhanced significantly with increase of pressure. The pre
ssure coefficient of T-c, dT(c)/dP, decreased with increase of the oxygen c
ontent of the compound. X-ray diffraction using a diamond anvil cell reveal
ed that lattice parameters a, b, c were compressed linearly as a function o
f pressure. The results contradict with the expectation from the "hybridiza
tion model". (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
