Ca1-xSrxVO3 is an ideal system for studying bandwidth effects. The substitu
tion of a Ca2+ ion for a Sr2+ ion reduces the bandwidth due to bucklings of
V-O-V bond angles. The Wilson ratio R-W similar or equal to 2 substantiate
s strong electron correlations in this system, while the effective mass sho
ws moderate values against the critical enhancement of the Brinkmann-Rice p
icture. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
