Abstract
Our comparative study of magnetic and transport properties of Fe0.9Co0.1Si, Fe0.9Rh0.1Si, and Fe0.9Ru0.1Si indicates that the ferromagnetism previousl y observed in Fe0.9Co0.1Si is not due to localized magnetic moments residin g on the Co atoms. It is rather the metallicity of the system which provide s the formation of a ferromagnetic state. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. Al l rights reserved.
