Abstract
Superconductive ordering of kappa-(BEDT-TTF)(2)Cu(NCS)(2) at zero field is investigated by AC and DC magnetic measurements across the critical tempera ture T-c. Observed characteristic phenomena, i.e. a negative divergent sing ularity of nonlinear susceptibility at T-c and a remarkable Meisner behavio ur above T-c indicate a novel ordering mechanism in such a quasi-2D superco nductor. A highly developed short-range order and an inclusion of Josephson -type coupling inside each conductive BEDT-TTF layer is suggested to be a p ossible origin. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V.
