The existence of the antiferromagnetic (AF) long-range order in nonmagnetic
impurity-doped ladder system Sr(Cu1-xMx)(2)O-3 (M = Zn, Ni) with x = 0.01
and 0.02 has been confirmed from the observations of the broadened Cu nucle
ar quadrupole resonance (NQR) spectrum due to the hyperfine (internal) fiel
d and the drastic change of the Gaussian spin-echo decay rate, T-2G(-1), at
1.4 K. From Cu NMR and NQR results, we propose a possible spin configurati
on of the AF staggered moments in the ordered state. (C) 1999 Elsevier Scie
