Mean field and exact diagonalization studies on the quasiparticle excitatio
n of an SO(5) symmetric two-leg ladder system are reported. It is shown tha
t the two results are in good agreement with each other in the weak couplin
g limit. It is found that shadow peaks appear above the Fermi surface as a
result of quasiparticle excitation which represents a mixture of electron a
