Abstract
Using a variational approach and the modified Lee-Low-Pines transformation the binding energy of an on-center hydrogenic impurity in quasi-zero-dimens ional spherical Quantum Dots (QD) interacting with confined LO phonon and S O phonon is calculated. The result shows that the LO-phonon effects are mor e important than SO-phonon effects, and they are more significant for small radius (R) of the QD.
