G. Van De Sand et Jm. Rost, Semiclassical time-dependent propagation in three dimensions for a Coulombpotential, PHYS REV A, 59(3), 1999, pp. R1723-R1726
A unified semiclassical time propagator is used to calculate the semiclassi
cal rime-correlation function in three Cartesian dimensions for a particle
moving in an attractive Coulomb potential. It is demonstrated that under th
ese conditions the singularity of the potential does not cause any difficul
ties and the Coulomb interaction can be treated as any other nonsingular po
tential. Moreover, by virtue of our three-dimensional calculation, we can e
xplain the discrepancies between previous semiclassical and quantum results
obtained for the one-dimensional radial Coulomb problem. [S1050-2947(99)50
