Radial collective flow and thermalization are studied in gold on gold colli
sions at 150, 250, and 300 A MeV bombarding energies with a relativisticall
y covariant formulation of a QMD code. We find that radial flow and "therma
l" energies calculated for all the charged fragments agree reasonably with
the experimental values. The experimental hardware filter at small angles u
sed in the FOPI experiments at higher energies selects mainly the thermaliz
ed particles. [S0556-2813(99)00603-2].
