We study in this paper the effect of turbulent scales smaller than the prem
ixed flame thickness on flame propagation and structure. We compare our num
erical results to existing theories of flame broadening, showing that the a
pparent Lewis number tends to unity for very high forcings, but that the sm
all scale forcing can generate a large-scale curvature of the front. [S1063
