A relationship between the thermal and electrophysical properties of t
he oligosalts of m-carboranedicarboxylic acid [-OOC-CB10H10C-COO-Mt(2)](n) (Mt = Cu, Mg, Ca, Zn, Cd, Ph) was established. The electric cond
uctivity of the salts heat treated at 500 degrees C increases by 3-9 d
ecimal orders; after pyrolysis at 900 degrees C, the conductivity incr
eases by 6-11 orders. Even after three years of storage, the conductiv
ity of the pyrolysis products remains 3-9 orders higher than that of t
he initial oligosalts.
