Abstract
The solutions of the classical equations of motion on a periodic latti ce are found which correspond to abelian single and double Dirac sheet s. These solutions exist also in non-abelian theories. Possible applic ations of these solutions to the calculation of gauge dependent and ga uge invariant observables are discussed.
