Br. Hunt et al., DIFFERENTIABLE GENERALIZED SYNCHRONIZATION OF CHAOS, Physical review. E, Statistical physics, plasmas, fluids, and related interdisciplinary topics, 55(4), 1997, pp. 4029-4034
We consider simple Lyapunov-exponent-based conditions under which the
response of a system to a chaotic drive is a smooth function of the dr
ive state. We call this differentiable generalized synchronization (DG
S). When DGS does not hold, we quantify the degree of nondifferentiabi
lity using the Holder exponent. We also discuss the consequences of DG
S and give an illustrative numerical example.
