The Relativistic Quantum Defect Orbital (RQDO) method without and with
explicit inclusion of core polarization has been applied to the study
of oscillator strengths of fine structure transitions in neutral chlo
rine, some of which are important in interstellar chemistry. The resul
ting oscillator strengths are analyzed in terms of other theoretical r
esults and some available experimental data. For the 3p(4)(P-3)4f - 3p
(4)(P-3)5g lines we supply the only available results at the moment.
