Abstract
Derivatives of 1,8-naphthalic anhydride have been synthesized and thei r spectroscopic and photochemical properties studied. Whilst these com pounds have a good photostability, only derivatives with a primary or secondary amino group, had a good fluorescence quantum yield. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
