Abstract
A partial least squares multivariate calibration approach, based on so lid-phase extraction and excitation-emission matrix fluorescence using flavonol as fluorogenic reagent in a Triton X-100 micellar medium, is proposed for the determination of triphenyltin (TPhT) in sea-water, T he calibration model is built from sea-water samples of known TPhT con centrations, and requires four factors for prediction. The method, whi ch has a precision of 0.4% and a detection limit of 0.56 ng l(-1), was shown to he suitable for TPhT monitoring in sea-water.
