Vk. Reddy et al., INFLUENCE OF VOLATILE COMPOUNDS ON GROWTH OF MYCOTOXIGENIC FUNGI AND MYCOTOXIN PRODUCTION, National Academy Science Letters, 20(7-8), 1997, pp. 97-99
Influence of some volatile compounds on different toxigenic moulds and
mycotoxin production is studied. Formic acid inhibited the production
of cyclopiazonic acid (CPA), and roridin by Penicillium griseofulvum
and Myrothecium roridum respectively, while aniline was effective in t
he inhibition of citrinin production by P. citrinum in individual cult
ures. In mixed cultures influence of volatile compounds varied.
