Abstract
The [Co-III(Hbim)(3)] ((1) under bar) (Hbim = 2,2'-biimidazolate monoa nion) is synthesized and its crystal structure is characterizcd by X-r ay crystal analysis. (Crystal data: monoclinic, C2/m (No. 12), FW = 97 0.71, a = 17.144(5) Angstrom, b = 30.341(6) Angstrom, c = 16.422(5) An gstrom, beta = 104.38(2)degrees, V = 8274(3) Angstrom(3), Z = 8) The c rystal structure comprises assemblies of two-dimensional honeycomb she et structures built Lip by alternate arrangements of Delta and Delta b inary optical isomers of the building block (1) under bar. The two-dim ensional sheets are formed by complementary intermolecular hydrogen bo nds of Hbim(-) ligands containing the building block (1) under bar. in terestingly, two-dimensional sheets is stacked along c axis to form ti le microporous crystal with large channels.
