Abstract
Novel bstituted-4-hydroxy-2H-pyran-2-one-3-carbox-amides and eaters 1 were prepared in a 2-step procedure from known 7-chloro-2,2-dimethylpy rano[4,3-d] 1,3-dioxin-4,5-dione 2.
