B. Kanyinda et al., 2 NEW ISOCHONDODENDRINE-TYPE ALKALOIDS FROM THE ROOTS OF ANISOCYCLA-JOLLYANA, Journal of natural products, 60(11), 1997, pp. 1121-1124
Two new isochondodendrine-type alkaloids jollyanine (5) and fastrine (
6) have been isolated from the roots of Anisocycla jollyana together w
ith nine known alkaloids, (-)-cycleanine (1), (-)-isochondodendrine (2
), (-)-norcycleanine (3), (-)-cycleanine N-oxide (4), (+)-dehydro-1,2
apateline, (+)-O-methyl-12 cocsoline, (+)-homoaromaline, (+)-limacusin
e, and (+)-limacusine-2'-beta-N-oxide. Their structures were elucidate
d by a combination of chemical and spectrometric methods including H-1
-NMR, H-1-C-13 COSY, H-1-H-1 COSY, HMQC, and HMBC experiments. Compoun
ds 5 and 6 represent the first isochondodendrine-type alkaloids bearin
g an oxygen substituent at the 5-position.
