Abstract
Purpose: As advances in the therapeutic management of alcohol withdraw al syndrome occur, oral and maxillofacial surgeons should be aware of the current treatment philosophies and modalities. This article provid es a comprehensive review of alcohol withdrawal syndrome and presents some of the current management strategies that can be used for these p atients, whether it be in the office or in the hospital.
