A. Safavi et al., SELECTIVE EXTRACTION-SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC DETERMINATION OF TRACES OF PALLADIUM IN CATALYSTS, Microchemical journal, 57(3), 1997, pp. 288-293
The simple, sensitive, and highly selective determination of palladium
is based on the reaction between Pd(II) and 1,2-bis[methyl(2-aminocyc
lopentene carbodithioate)] ethane and extraction of the complex into d
ichloromethane. Beer's law is obeyed in the concentration range 0.19-1
0 mu g ml(-1) Pd. Relative standard deviations were 0.7-1.1%. The proc
edure has been successfully applied to the determination of palladium
in different samples of catalysts. (C) 1997 Academic Press.
