Abstract
Under consideration is the problem of determination of detailed medium structure in the frame of the one-dimensional model according to VSP data from the nearest station of excitation. To solve this problem, eq ualities were obtained, which connect the spectra of oscillations, rec orded in the borehole, with parameters of the beds lying between recep tion stations. Since the number of equations is more than the number o f unknowns, for finding the solution the least-squares method is used, and the functional minimum is found by Newton's method. Finding the m inimum is reduced to a successive solution to optimization problems of small demensionality, A principal possibility is shown for determinat ion of densities and velocities in the beds in the outcropped portion of the section.
