Abstract
Genetic variations of six allozyme loci (Aat, EstD-2, Gpi, Odh, Pgm, a nd Gp-1) were studied in the Japanese scallop sampled from 19 natural settlements in Primorye. A large genetically homogenous population was shown to inhabit more than a 1300-km region of the sea coast from the Chikhachev Bay on the north to the Posjet Bay on the south. However. the settlement located furthest south near Furuhelm Island was reveale d to differ significantly from the other Primorye settlements and was assumed to belong to another scallop population inhabiting Koreas coas t to the south.
