A. Wahl et al., UNUSUAL FIELD-DEPENDENCE OF THE REVERSIBLE MAGNETIZATION IN HEAVY-IONS IRRADIATED THALLIUM-BASED SINGLE-CRYSTALS, Physica. C, Superconductivity, 250(1-2), 1995, pp. 163-169
Thallium-based single crystals (TlBa2Ca2Cu3O9 (Tl-1223), Tl2Ba2CaCu2O8
(Tl-2212) and Tl2Ba2Ca2Cu3O10 (Tl-2223)) have been exposed to Pb ions
irradiation along the c-axis at fluences of 5 x 10(10) and 2 X 10(11)
ions per cm(2). Reversible magnetization as a function of the field f
or different temperatures was measured in each compound for the two tr
ack densities. Two regimes are observed depending on the relative valu
es of B and the dose equivalent field B Phi. They are explained in the
framework of the London model taking into account the magnetic intera
ctions between vortices and irradiation induced columnar defects.
