Abstract
Chlorpromazine penetration into the lipid core of the membrane was dem onstrated through measurements on lipid monolayers (surface pressure a nd surface potential). The surface pressure measurements allow us to c alculate the intrinsic binding constant (partition coefficient) for th e lipid-Chlorpromazine interaction. This latter value is in correct ag reement with the obtained results by electrophoretic mobilities measur ements on liposomes.
