S. Aime et al., ROLE OF OS-H-CENTER-DOT-CENTER-DOT-CENTER-DOT-H-N INTERACTIONS IN DIRECTING THE STEREOCHEMISTRY OF CARBONYL CLUSTER HYDRIDE DERIVATIVES, Organometallics, 16(24), 1997, pp. 5140-5141
Unconventional hydrogen-bond interactions involving metal hydrides as
proton acceptors from N-H bonds have been recently discovered in monon
uclear organometallic systems. The work herein reported on H2Os3(CO)(1
0)L (L= NH2Et, NHEt2) suggests that this type of interaction may be ev
en more important in cluster chemistry in directing the stereochemistr
y of the products as well as affecting the intramolecular ligand excha
nge processes.
