Abstract
The down-stepping system of the denudation surfaces on the north of Ea st Siberia have been identified on the basis of geomorphological mappi ng of a large area. The identified steps are relies of the denudation plains. These relies reflect a discontinuous decrease in the basis of denudation from the absolute altitudes of more than 200 m to the prese nt level during the Cenozoic. Analysis of the location of these relic surfaces allows a reliable reconstruction of the post-Mesozoic evoluti on of the drainage network in this region.
