LARGE REGIONAL ANOMALIES OF GEOMAGNETIC-F IELD IN THE NORTHERN PACIFIC

Large regional anomalies have been revealed in the spectrum of the geo magnetic anomalous field in the Northern Pacific and a schematic map o f large regional anomalies has been compiled. In has been shown that l arge regional anomalies are located in the western part of the region (approximately up to 180 degrees-170 degrees E) with complicated geolo gical, tectonic, morphological structure and the oldest ground rocks f or the Pacific. Clear correlation of large regional magnetic anomalies with anomalies Delta g of the same periodicity and with the separate MAGSAT anomalies has been determined.
