Vg. Kolmogorov, KINEMATICS OF THE EARTHS SURFACE IN WEST SIBERIA FROM THE RESULTS OBTAINED BY INSTRUMENTAL TECHNIQUES, Geologia i geofizika, 38(9), 1997, pp. 1538-1548
Two maps, <<The map of velocities of recent vertical movements on the
Earth's crust>> and <<The map of recent kinematics of the Earth's surf
ace in West Siberia>>, were first compiled for the whole territory of
West Siberia. The data on relevelling in central and northern West Sib
eria permitted us to generalize space-temporal regularities of distrib
ution of regional recent vertical movements. To solve some geodynamic
problems, we propose to use <<The map of recent kinematics of the Eart
h's surface in West Siberia>>, where not only velocities of the recent
vertical movements of the Earth's crust (RVMEC) but also surface stru
ctures of absolute and relative uplifts, zones of intensive downwarpin
g and faulting becoming active in the recent stage are shown. Accordin
g to formal signs of the RVMEC velocities of anomalies, we have determ
ined the kinematic type of the Earth's crust strain in the region of t
hese faults. Also we have shown a tendency of vertical movements towar
d the Jurassic, Lower Cretaceous, Neogene-Quaternary, and Recent perio
ds.
