Abstract
Six secondary aziridines (Az) bearing unsaturated vinylic or allylic g roups on one of the carbon atoms of the ring have been reacted with pa lladium compounds. Complexes of general formula PdCl2(Az)(2) have been isolated and spectroscopically characterized for fully substituted az iridines. The crystal structure of the complex of allylaziridine has b een determined, showing the trans-arrangement of the ligands around th e palladium center. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
