Abstract
Oligonucleotides containing an aldehydic function at any preselected p osition in the sequence have been prepared using post-synthetic oxidat ion of an alkene as the key reaction. These were efficiently coupled t o a reporter molecule tethered to an oxyamino linker. (C) 1997 Elsevie r Science Ltd.
