Cardiac involvement during Legionnaires' disease has been rarely descr
ibed; few cases of myocarditis, pericarditis and endocarditis have bee
n reported, We described a case of myocarditis associated to pneumonia
, with high antibody titer, suggesting Legionella pneumophila involvem
ent, The patient had severe myocardial damage, with overt heart failur
e and evident ECG and Doppler-echocardiographic abnormalities, without
associated multiorgan involvement.
