Abstract
Support groups are beneficial to ALS patients and their families by pr oviding a forum for discussion and emotional support, The low prevalen ce of ALS and the patients limited mobility make it difficult to susta in support groups in rural environments. We describe the organization of an ALS support network in the Commonwealth of Kentucky using real-t ime, interactive video. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
